Our History and Accomplishments

The Siegel High School Band has only been in existence since 2003, but it has quickly become a competitive force in the high school marching band landscape of Tennessee.


Facts and Figures (year-to-date):


Over 300 All Rutherford County Band members. 
Over 200 All Mid-State Band members.
More than 25 All State Band and Orchestra members.


* 2006 Symphonic Band Appearance and Superior rating in Grade 6 at the National Adjudicators Invitational Grand National Concert Band Festival.


* 9 TMEA State Concert Festival Appearances (Concert and Symphonic Band).


* MTSBOA Concert Festival.

  • Superior Rating in Concert and Sight-Reading, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009.
  • Multiple Superior Ratings in Grade 6.
  • (*Siegel Band did not participate in 2008 in lieu of New York’s St. Patrick Day performance)

* Since 2003 the Siegel High School Band has received many superior ratings and multiple over all championships in Color Guard and Percussion.


 * The Siegel Band has performed in New York City, Chicago, Birmingham, Atlanta, Louisville, Orlando, Tampa Bay, St. Petersburg, Washington D.C., San Antonio, New Orleans/Baton Rouge, and all three regions of Tennessee.


 * Special guest appearances hosted by the Siegel High School Band include:
  •  Lou Marini from the Saturday Night Live Band and the Blues Brothers.
  •  Chester Thompson, Nashville studio musician.
  •  The Nashville Jazz Orchestra.
  •  Synergy Brass from Boston Massachusetts.

     * Special guest performances with the Siegel High School Band have included:

    • Vinnie Ciesielski (trumpet) Nashville Jazz Orchestra and The Music City Legend Drum and Bugle Corps. and Professional Trumpet Artist.
    • Dr. Jack Stamp, conductor with the Keystone Wind Ensemble from Pennsylvania.


      * The Siegel High School Band also hosts the MTSBOA All Mid State Band.
