Spring dates and news from the directors

Greetings from the Siegel Bands:

There will also be some leadership training days after school in May.  Dates to be announced.  Students interested in leadership spots in the Siegel Band should attend.

Handbooks will be coming out soon.  Inside these handbooks will have important information and forms with deposits to be returned.  This should be done by the deadlines to help us get our show ready in time for band practices this summer.  Band camp will be $300 this year.  It has been $250 for our bands for over 15 years and our travel, staff, and meal expense has steadily risen.  We reluctantly raise this cost.  It is a prime goal of ours to keep the cost to be in band low.  Many of the bands that we compete with have fair share fees over $1000 not including band camp.  I am proud that our fair share will remain $200, however our band camp will be $300.  $150 will be due as a deposit with the commitment forms in the middle of May.

We are looking forward to the last part of this school year and forward into the fall of 2010.  We would like to thank the Band Booster Club and all parents for the fantastic support that the band receives.  Without you our program would be ordinary.

Sincerely,

Randy Rhody and Ed Medford
