Updates for week of 11/14

This Thursday (11/17) the Siegel Band will be recognized by the Rutherford County Commission at the Court House for its success this year.

This Friday (11/18) is first fruit delivery - Just a reminder to everyone that fruit will be delivered this Friday, November 18, at the school. Citrus should be delivered around 6 am and we will start sorting as soon as possible after that.  Thanks to everyone who signed up to help.  We can always use more help, especially between 7 am and 11 am, when we will be inspecting and sorting the fruit.  Any amount of time you have available (no matter how short) is always welcome.  We will be working in the rear hallway near the band and choir rooms.  If you have any handcarts or push carts, please bring them if you come to help-they are very useful in sorting the fruit and delivering the fruit.


Fruit should be picked up any time between 1 pm and 5 pm on Friday.  Please contact Susan Kulp if you have any questions. Also, December fruit orders are due by Tuesday, November 22.  The turn in box is in the band office.  If you want, you can turn in your December fruit order when you pick up your November fruit order.  Thanks again for everyone's hard work with this fundraiser!

Schedule for Friday night 11/4

We will be traveling to John Overton High School This Friday (11/4) to support the football team.
The band will NOT be marching, but will be playing.
Students should arrive in uniform at 4:50pm to load the rental truck.
Buses will leave at 5:20pm.
Estimate arrival at Overton at 6:20pm
Game starts at 7:00 pm.
Estimate arrival time back at SHS at 11:15 pm. We will update the website when we are departing Overton.


Important Notes: Students should eat prior to arriving at school to leave for the game.
Overton has advised us that they will be charging for all parents to enter the game, so parents planning on attending the game should be prepared to pay for their own tickets.
Since we are not marching, we are renting a smaller box truck to haul our instruments. We will not be taking the pit, uniform racks, etc.
